To provide a host of services for youth and families designed to strengthen, stabilize, sustain, shelter and unify our community.

Background and History

Roxbury Multi-Service Center, Inc. (RMSC) provides a wide variety of in-house, community and advocacy services for residents of the Roxbury, Dorchester and Mattapan areas of Boston.

Our services are diverse and range from adolescent and family support programs to sexual assault, violence prevention and intervention. We also provide supportive housing, counseling and education, emergency assistance, homeless shelter, mental health services. Our education programs for youth and families focus on youth enrichment and individual self sufficiency.

Since 1964, RMSC has been serving and advocating for children and families coming from a variety of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds (African American, Latino, Caribbean Islander, Cape Verdean, Asian, Native American, and Caucasian) of all ages. RMSC also addresses a variety of issues impacting the community such as: homelessness, socio-economic conditions, employment situations, health concerns, community development, family unity and counseling needs. RMSC is particularly dedicated to enriching and elevating the lives of children and youth who reside in the community.

Through the provision of a variety of academic, educational, economic, cultural and social activities, RMSC seeks to empower children and provide them with tools which can help increase their chances of success and survival in the future.
